Moon Mountain Ramblers

Wish the Moon Mountain Ramblers good luck on their first tour of McMenamins Pubs in the Portland area, including Edgefield, Grand Lodge, and Rock Creek Tavern.  They launched their tour July 13 right here in Bend at the St. Francis School Pub & Hotel.  It was a pleasure for me to sit in with them that night. The Ramblers continue to expand their repertoire and to play with a tightness and a relaxed togetherness that is fun for them and the audience.

Recently I have had the privilege of sitting in with two of Bend's finest jazz artists: Michelle Van Handel at Be Bop Biscotti, then Rich Hurdle at Toomies.  Watch for their names, you won't want to miss them.

In a week or so I will be recording whistling parts on Allan Byer's upcoming new CD, Money Talks Too Much.  I'm very excited about that. It's been a great experience performing with Allan and his band. Be sure to check him out.
