Whistlers Convention

I  have just returned from the International Whistler's Convention in Louisburg, North Carolina, and I am happy to report that although I didn't win the competition, my experience there was very rewarding. While the winners were technically agile and had a good sound, at the end of my performances, especially on the classical pieces, the audience nearly jumped out of their seats with whoops and cheers. I thought wow, this is great; maybe I'll win.

But what was even more gratifying than winning, was that people came up to me and said how moved they were; some to tears, and that they had never heard whistling like that. The winners were very generous with theircomments as well. I was moved myself by the response, and I realized that I have something special to offer.

So it's great to be back! And here are some upcoming events where I'll be performing.

Saturday, May 14, Prineville "Walkin' the Arts" with Allan Byer at the Robin's Nest, 1:30 to 5 pm.

See you there!
